I am more than happy to schedule bi-weekly appointments if that is more suitable for your needs- so long as the schedule allows for it :)
After school appointments are a hot-commodity! I do my very best to accommodate as late as possible. However, therapy is a commitment! I provide excused absence letters for schools/attendance upon request.
I highly encourage individuals to allow the therapeutic relationship to grow over time, as that's how most healthy relationships are developed. A strong therapeutic relationship does not always happen after the first appointment. It's OK to be specific about your needs upon intake!
Medication management can have a positive impact on an individual's progress in therapy. I am not a prescriber. I do educate clients on the risks and benefits of medication. I do not think medication is right for everyone. Medication does not fix our problems. It helps individuals get "un-stuck" and restores important chemicals in the brain, whether it be a short-term or long-term intervention.
Unfortunately, I do not provide couple's therapy. I am not a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, therefore it is out of my scope of practice.
